Art supplement, help me out please !!!

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I have a few questions.</p>

<p>1) Do schools accept photography supplements? Is that in the media category?</p>

<p>2) How good should a photography supplement be for top schools? I'm pretty good at photography and I have done it since I was very young, but I only have regional awards. Besides, I just learned it from my dad. He's a professional photographer. Does this have a negative affect on my application?</p>

<p>2) Do I need to have a recommendation from an art teacher? If no does it help?</p>

some schools require a rec letter from “someone familiar with your instructor”, for others its optional</p>
