Art Supplement Question?

Hi, I'm a student that wants to apply to colleges like Carnegie Mellon, Duke, Northeastern, RPI, JHU, MIT, etc. for engineering.

I'm academically strong, but my biggest strength is in visual art. I haven't been actively trying to win awards, so I don't have any art awards. But, art is a big part of my life and my work is very good, so I truly believe that art will be a huge part of my application. (Sorry, i don't have any samples uploaded at this time).

I really want to send in an art supplement even though some colleges I'm applying to (like CMU, NEU, Tufts) don't say it's necessary, since I'm not majoring in art. But, should I send it in? Or will colleges not be happy because it's extra? It would be great to hear from people with experience with the same issue.

If you’re passionate about it, and your art is impressive, go right ahead.
