Art Supplement Slides??

Hi, I want to send visual art supplement along with my app to Harvard. On the Harvard website, it says we should send in slides. However, when I asked my art teacher (who has been teaching for 20 years) she told me to not do slides since it's a waste of money. Should I do slides? does it matter a lot if I just sent in printed copies of my work? Also, for slides, what's a easy and FAST way of doing it? (since I need to finish them in a week and shops don't open on holidays.)

anyone? bump

help please... T_T

Slides don't make or break an application. If the rest of your application is strong, then I wouldn't worry about sending in slides.

I can't think of a fast turn-around for slides; mine all took 3-4 weeks to be processed.

Thanks Candlefungus. This question probably sounds really stupid, but what exactly are slides and how do they look like? Believe it or not, I've never seen any slides before... Do they put all pictures on one sheet or something? Thanks!

Slides are basically those things that art teachers sometimes put in projectors. http://www.artcompetitionslides.com/craigslistad/slides1.jpg

You can put about 20 slides in a slide-sheet.

You've probably seen them before. :)

Thanks candlefungus! Good luck w/ your apps too : )
