<p>Well I’m fairly sure it’s legal, and it may be a good idea. But it might be better to first email the professor and see what he/she wants.</p>
<p>I emailed/met with all the professors at universities I was considering applying for and several of them requested that I send a copy of my supplement directly to them while others preferred just to send it to regular admissions.</p>
