Is there a grace period for Cornell’s slidreoom art supplement?
I happily found out there was one for Columbia that gives you a few more days after the deadline, but it only lets you know about the grace period if you missed the deadline (Which I definitely don’t want to risk).
If anyone’s applied early decision or have applied in the past, do they give you more time if you miss the January 2 cutoff date, and if so how long?
Edit: On the slideroom page it says its due by the fifth, but on their site it tells you to have it in by the second. Will it matter if Im a few hours late or do they need it at 11:59 in my timezone or theirs?
Think about it: thousands of apps were just uploaded. Their process isn’t meant to be a tightrope walk over a chasm. No one was it Ithaca last night locking out the slideroom. They WANT to admit you. Remember that. You’re fine.
I thought that Cornell arts supp (at least for Music submissions) was due January 1 at midnight?? I didn’t see a SlideRoom portal for them. Is there one?
Not sure about music, Im applying to fine arts and it says on the freshman application chart that portfolios are due by the 2nd [although on slideroom https://cornellaap.slideroom.com it gives the deadline as the 5th and if you scroll down it says the deadlines been moved to January 9th 2014, so im not sure if they screwed up the date or if they screwed up by not taking down outdated information]
However, at the bottom of the page you linked to it says they will not be looked at past the deadline so id stick to that?
Music supplement deadline is strict. Son submitted at 12:20 am and was told, Sorry, we don’t accept them after the deadline. His fault, but still. Nobody was looking at the stuff at midnight. Maybe the other departments are more lenient.
FYI
I realized that the RD deadline was Jan 2, not Jan 1. I was planning to have my son send an email about this, but I guess someone else did. He got a second email from the music department saying that given the confusion about the deadlines that submissions on Jan 2 nod will be considered.
