<p>Hey, I'm sorry, I'm sure there was a similar thread before, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. My question is, how many of you are sending slides or CDs, how many artworks, which media, etc. I'm not sure how many to send myself. Any suggestions, personal experience?</p>

<p>I was going to send slides, but the hurricane hit us and the place told me they wouldnt be able to have them done for weeks! Therefore, I just burned a CD at school. I included around 20 pieces of art on the CD, 4 main architecture pieces with details, and I send in some slides I had from previous shoots (Thankfully the school pays for them, otherwise I would not be able to afford to get slides). Anyways, yea dude, just send a CD 20-30 pieces of your best work. I also included a sheet explaining the overall context of my art (part of it was a concentration I did over the summer of my culture).</p>

<p>I sent a photography portfolio on CD with about 12 jpegs.</p>

so, it would be fine if i send +-14 drawings and paintings on a CD...?</p>

<p>Yea, just send around 15-20 and you should be fine. You are applying RD right? Remember to send you best work, since there are a couple hundred in the 20,000 that will also send some stuff in.</p>

<p>Nah, its very small. Artists arent good at academics (My high school is like the best art high school in the country), and all the asians do music anyways, so I am sure You'll be fine. To give you a taste of what type of art you are competing against, look up user "Kebree" and look at her stuff. My stuff is equivalent, and so is some other ppls.</p>

<p>dha, i would love to see some of your art. i've always been profoundly admirative of Kebree's <a href="http://artattack.to/display.php?artist=1000001376%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://artattack.to/display.php?artist=1000001376&lt;/a> .
for those kind of results, water color is perhaps the most difficult medium. i'm also into realism-- portraiture in particular-- but i stick with graphite and charcoal because i find it easier to control. if everybody's supplement is Kebree-caliber, we're going to be up against some pretty tough competition ;) does anybody else have an online art gallery?</p>

<p>crimson, i think you've shown me your art before.....paintings, if i remember correctly. from what i saw, it was good art. it's just going to be difficult for all of us because mostly everyone who bothers to send in art will be excellent. i was worried about my portfolio because i haven't branched out into other media, otherwise i'm pretty confident about technical skill....but eh. everyone's gonna be awesome.</p>

<p>wow, candlize, i'm so excited to finally see your work. they're excellent. i find it hard to compare paintings/drawings with photos though. Kebree makes amazing paintings, but it's such a different process.....Your work shows a lot of compositional skill, something i'm severely lacking in. I would never make a good photographer-- my strengths just lie elsewhere. you've probably already seen my art attack site though.</p>

<p>those are amazing, candlize. as ontolome said, you really shouldn't compare kebree's work with yours as the approach is so different. i really hope you get in.</p>

<p>I like your stuff Candlize. I am heavily into Architecture and Art so your stuff really appeals to me. I need to post my art, Ive been too lazy though. I only have a 56k connection so uploading the stuff is gonna take time. Ill get around to doing it this week. My stuff is mainly watercolor/oil so like I am able to do well in it.</p>

<p>anyone know whether the supplements are reviewed by the adcoms, art departement, or both?</p>
