art suppliment

on princetos own application it has their art suppliment form that has to be filled out. It said to include an art resume. If my son sends in his annoted activity list with all his awards and honor listed, do you think it is necessary he have to make another art resume with only art awards and honors on a different sheet? or should he just send his original resume and not bother with art resume. thank you

You should ask the admissions office which they would prefer.

If your son is submitting arts materials as part of his application - art slides or video or CD of a performance - than yes, he should submit a separate resume related to that particular art field. In many cases the art resume may be more detailed and specific than the general resume is, for example, it might list a repertoire of music pieces performed or a list of teachers or specific classes taken in a given discipline.

Thank you SV2. and for teachers optional reference , Do you think it is ok to send two? because I would like to include his art teacher ( outside school) rec. So my son will have his required two techers rec and his counselor and two other optional references. Would princeton mind?

Oh and GR I did emil them and asked but no answer yet. Do they answer back?

I always received a prompt and informative answer whenever I emailed them.

Yes, it’s okay to send an optional reference from whomever as well as one from his art teacher with the arts supplement.

thank you SV2
