<p>hey all and thanks in advance for stopping by,
im a sophomore with a 3.4 gpa (UW) at one of the top private schools in nj
i'm hugely into art, specifically pottery... i don't want to do it for a living or anything... i truly aspire to be a doctor
for junior year im torn between taking clay working 2 or honors portfolio development.
so basically what im asking is do colleges care about this distinction?
also, what do schools like bucknell, holy cross, BU, and lehigh think about applicants who submit a portfolio, even if they don't plan on taking any of the courses in that field?
thank you so much in advance for any help i may get</p>
<p>Why not Alfred instead? You could be pre-med and still pursue a major in ceramics: [New</a> York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University](<a href=“http://nyscc.alfred.edu/]New”>http://nyscc.alfred.edu/)
[Alfred</a> University : Academics : Pre-Health Program](<a href=“http://www.alfred.edu/academics/pre-health/]Alfred”>http://www.alfred.edu/academics/pre-health/)</p>
<p>Think about it.</p>
<p>mainly because it, although it is something that I love, I do not plan on pursuing it aggressively as a possible occupation. Also the college counseling office told me those some schools that I should look at to give me a good college experience, a challenging course load and prepare me to go to a top tier med school
Thank you so much for your help</p>
