article on college graduates and student debt

topeka capital journal has a front page article today on college graduates and student debt. the website is.........cjonline.com

the site has free registration if anyone would like to read it. sorry i can't link the article here since it's one of those sites that requires you to register.
it's a good read and mentions both undergrad and graduate school debt, law and vet school debt.

Thanks condor. The read was worth the short registration. I found it interesting to hear the perspectives of new graduates, as opposed to optimistic undergrads who think that almost any amount of debt will be just fine. I only wish I could find a similar article from new ivy grads because many folks go into enormous debt thinking these degrees will have extra income value.

lkf725 - i also found the vet school mention to be something that you don't always see discussed.
including salary figures for a few fields was good too.......cpa, attorney, social worker, vet, etc.

Wow, yeah. I thought vets made a lot more money than that since admissions are so ultra-competitive. Maybe if you have a large successful suburban practice? Or maybe farm animal practice? Equestrian practice? Anyway, the article was very interesting. Thanks!

PS - I understand that admission to accounting programs is very competitive these days, also.

i remembered seeing an ap article on the shortage of food supply vets recently......mentions a threat to food safety. i found it at the kcstar archives.......june 2. sorry, can't seem to link it but you'll be able to find it. just go to...............kansascity.com and do an archive search.
