<p>The article does not even list the most obvious defect in most of Payscale’s publicly available listings by college. That is the effect of the mix of student majors at each college.</p>
<p>A college full of engineering and CS majors is likely to have a higher overall average than a school heavy with biology majors. However, this does not mean that a biology major at the first school will necessarily have better job prospects than a biology major at the second school.</p>
