Article: Still No Cakewalk, but Getting Into UC To Be Easier In The Future

Sigh…Why couldn’t I have been born a couple of years later?

Damn! We're at the peak!
Lucky us.

For some reason, this sounds doubtful.

As the UCs become more popular in a decade or so, they will recieve even more applications and acceptance rates will still go down. Population is only factor, but the increase in number of students actually applying to these schools and wanting those spots is what makes the competition fierce

Go Class Of 08!

I'm sort of glad to be part of the peaking class of 2008. It shows my younger brothers (high school Class of 2011 and 2013) that if I can do it, they can too. I feel like I have paved a path for them to follow. :)

does this have any hope for next yr's HS grads ('09)?

I heard that it'll be much easier for future applicants (not next year’s, but maybe like 3 - 4 years’ after), because right now all the baby boomers are applying, so the number of applicants is skyrocketing. Give it a few years and it should be better. Lucky them.
