My daughter has just released /withdraw all her applications but Roosevelt (accepted to MTD).
Waiting on BoCo to make the big decision.
Feeling like 41 weeks pregnant.

Curious if anyone knows if scholarship offers end up being available for students who are waitlisted but eventually accepted? Specifically interested in Molly/Cap 21, but any info in helpful.

Hi, I just spoke to the student I have currently in the UCLA TFT program. He said that thereā€™s not competition between undergrad and grad students but some of the shows are already cast with graduates in specific roles, but the undergrads know that before they audition. Also, there are opportunities for undergrads to direct within the department and a ā€œTONā€ of opportunities outside the department with student groups. He said heā€™s really happy with TFT, it has ā€œreally awesome opportunitiesā€ and he hasnā€™t regretted his choice. When I attended UCLA I liked that we worked side by side with grad students. I was able to do directing and stage managing and many of my undergraduate peers were cast in lead roles. Itā€™s a small department at a large school which contributes to the sense of family and belonging.

Thereā€™s a message in an NYU thread that the date was moved up to 3/30. Wondering if this applies to our Tisch applicants. Anyone heard anything?

Oh yay! She got the same letterā€¦ so exciting!

that does not leave much time to make a decision! BAL

GLTA waiting on Tisch. We regret not one penny spent on Dā€™s acting journey there. And for those that really want MT, but get an acting studio-D has several friends that are in NSB this year after completing primary training.

My son got nervous during his audition and told them he was only interested in MT Studio. Soā€¦. We arenā€™t crossing our fingers. Lol

It doesnā€™t. Itā€™s the only school we are waiting on. He has all other acceptances narrowed down to 2 and we have campus visits planned for early April. Tisch is a huge reachā€¦ and even more so because he got nervous during his audition and said that he only wanted to be considered for MT Studio. We arenā€™t holding our breath. Lol

It is a nerve-wracking process. GL to your son.

UCLA TFT (musical theater) question

Does anyone know how many kids in the program and generally how many kids per graduating class? I canā€™t seem to get info on this. Thank you!

Not related to MT, but we have a son who is a junior at Johnson and Whales (culinary/business management) and he LOVES it there. His two culinary lab years, even broken up by Covid, were nothing short of amazing for him. I wish he had done all 4 years straight culinary, but he wanted the broader experience of business/restaurant management.

When is your Spring Break? My son has also been accepted to Rider and Hartt and we will be visiting both the week of April 11. We will also be hitting Nazareth (lots of driving); hoping this helps him with deciding. He has also been accepted to CCPA but likes elements of all the programs.

Good for him! My son is also planning on visiting schools that week. He has been accepted to Rider and Hartt as well, maybe weā€™ll see each other there :grin:
