Arts & Sciences Pathway Program for Fall 2019 as a transfer student

When you get this - what does it mean?
We like you but prove to us that you really want to come here?
Go someplace else for a year and get 30 credits and it better be 3.3 or above and you will walk through our glorious halls?

“However, we are pleased to offer you the Georgia Tech Arts & Sciences Pathway Program for Fall 2019 as a transfer student.”

Yeah!

Yeah!

@whereinnj is the Arts and Sciences Pathway program something that you have to apply for or do you receive it with your admissions decision?

You do not apply separately, it is offered to certain applicants for admission.

@peachparent
Is the pathway offer better than rejected or waitlisted? Assuming waitlisted unlikely to all get admitted.

I think it is better than waitlisted/rejected.Atleast you are guaranteed admission after 1 year .Plus you can take the core classes for first year which are very tough at Gerogia tech at your local flagship college or community college.

I got the same thing. Do you mind me if I ask for your stats? It’s kind of a bittersweet response since we did not get accepted, but we also did not get denied…
Asian Female Low income First Generation
Biology Major
ACT: 32
GPA: 3.77 (weighted)
11 AP CLASSES
Lots of extracurriculars and a few leadership positions
My essays in my opinion may not have been the strongest as I know for sure writing is not my biggest strength.

Honestly, based on my stats, this should have been a reach school for me and I am honored to get this opportunity.

My stats, Asian Male from NJ.
Overall GPA 92.1845/100 (weighted)
SAT super Score = 1520
14 APs
Few extracurriculars like clubs and Boy Scouts (Eagle Scout).
Strong Essay.

I will most likely go to Rutger Honors in School of Business for one year.
Then transfer to GT.

That’s the plan for now.
