<p>Hi,
I have spent the last three years of my high school career pursuing my dream of being an actor. I have attended a boarding school for the arts and majored in theatre. This has made it very hard for me to do a lot of testing. I have not been able to take the SAT II's, and my school does not offer AP courses.
I did not score as well as I would have liked on my SAT's. I have vision problems that makes it hard for me to read for long periods of time. I am trying to get untimed testing for October and hopefully raise my score. Right now I have a combined score of 1790. Math= 600, Reading =600, Writing= 590.
I want to go to a college as a theatre major, but get a BA so I can be a well rounded student.
I am very interested in applying to Northwestern ED. Northwestern has everything that an actor and a student could want. It has an amazing acting program and it's an amazing school.
I have a 3.8 GPA and four years of all subjects besides french, which I have three of. I have many many extracurriculars, and two important leadership positions that I have held for two years. In addition to regular classes, I take theatre, musical theatre, movement, voice lessons, broadway vocal coaching, and design and production every year.
Do you think that my low test scores (although I am planning on bringing them up in Oct.) will stop me from getting into Northwestern? Do you think if I lead with my strengths and present myself as a unique student who can greatly contribute to the theatre department that I have a chance?
Hope to hear from everyone.
-Kat
