Arts Supplement for UChicago

Has anyone submitted a visual arts supplement? Did you send a CD? How many images did you include?
Their website is not very clear on this topic.
Thanks

I don’t know. I considered submitting a visual arts supplement, but I thought it was pointless since I’m not going to do art in college. I do want to submit a creative writing supplement (extremely short). I’m not sure how to do that.

Hey,

I actually had a similar question a while back (uChi is pretty vague about this…), but luckily a representative from the university visited our high school, and I was able to later send him an email about this.
His response was: "Thank you for reaching out to me. As for the art supplement, please feel free to send us some hard copies of your work. Cds, copies of the work, recommendations- any of these and more will be accepted by our office, and we will send them to the art departments for review. "

I submitted the arts supplement on the common app as well, though I doubt they look at that. I made prints of about 15 or 16 of my best works and got a rec. letter from my art teacher and mailed all of that up last week.

Hope this was helpful :)

What about digital art? Does that count, or does the art supplement have to be made up of hand-drawn paintings, sketches, etc?
