Well, this is fun. My family and I tried with 2 different credit cards and when we hit "next step" after filling out initial payment information, it just shows a loading button for hours on end. My internet connection is fine. Should I email Stanford?

NEVER MIND I resolved everything

@hopefulperson. Congratulations on getting your art supplement in just in the nick of time! (boy you really waited for the last minute…literally). Stanford takes high quality high talent music supplements very very seriously…at the same level of seeking top level national/international athletes…

…last year over 1000 music supplements (excluding other art supplements) out of 42,167 applicants were submitted for evaluation by the music department…and many of those accepted had their music accomplishments to thank (got them over the hump)…

Good luck!

Do you think it would actively hurt my application if my music supplement isn’t as good as the competition? I’m definitely very far from international, and probably not national either. I’ve done well on the state level…but now I’m wondering if it was a mistake to submit…

I think you are fine…since you have been active/passionate in all aspects of your violin. Yes, it would be great to be international or national competition winner…but, very very few achieve those levels in most instruments. It all comes down to how many violinists are applying this year…and how many actually submitted a music supplement (to complement) with their application as opposed to those who were too lazy to put together a supplement as you did…

…as you know, violin, piano, and cello are the dominant glamour instruments that so many Asian students in particular pursue and excel in…so the challenge is to somehow “outshine” the other applicants with similar endeavors…

…and this is where your essays, recommendations, your personality, and your performances will make the difference…

…hope this helps …
