Arts Supplement

Hello!

I put down an arts supplement on my common application, intending to submit the same piano supplement I did for my other schools. However, I just realized I only had two pieces, while Princeton wants “preferably” a prelude/fugue by Bach, a first movement of a sonata by a classical composer (which I have) and a 19th or 20th century solo (which I also have). I have a prelude I have been working on, but it would be a bit of a time crunch to be able to get it into recording shape.

On the other hand, Princeton also has a creative writing option of five pages of poetry/fiction/nonfiction/translations. I write in my free time, and have had some publications in my school’s literary magazine. I mostly write poetry and fiction, and definitely have enough to fill the five pages. However, I have not been widely recognized for creative writing.

In short, which portfolio should I choose? Both require about the same amount of work, so I just want a second opinion.
Thank you!

Or alternatively- should I submit a portfolio at all, or should I just contact Princeton and tell them I’m no longer submitting an arts supplement. Which would hurt me more: an incomplete music supplement (without the prelude) or withdrawing my art supplement?

Also, does “one of each of the following: 1) The 48 preludes and fugues of J.S. Bach” mean both the prelude and the fugue or just one? because i was thinking of doing one of the preludes, but I don’t want to have to get the fugue back into shape as well. Thank you!
