Arts Supplement

I'm doing the Arts Supplement (I play violin), but I won't be able to have it postmarked until a couple days after the admissions deadline. Do you think this will be a major problem, since its only a minor supplement to the application? I can overnight ship it once I get it together.

i think the people in the other thread said no...

oh cool, i play violin too. what are you working on?

I have Beriot No. 7 and Kriesler right now, and some Paganini Cantable. I'm also playing lots of Bach, mostly Partitas 1 and 2. What about you?

Bruch no. 1 in g minor VC... had to relearn it my new teacher's "way" because I switched teachers (old teacher was letting me start on Ravel's Tzigane)

oh yeah, and Kreisler's Tambourin Chinois.

My EXACT question, that I have been trying to ask all over this website as well. No definitive answers.. I play violin as well!!!

i play violin too! Procrastination, for your bruch violin concerto (one of my favorites btw), did you include a recording of you with symphonic accompaniment or just a solo? if it was the latter, did you omit pauses?

Don't overnight ship it.

For any submission of a recording, definitely record with piano (or orchestra if you have the chance). If you really can't find a pianist or something to accompnay you, and you do a concerto, take reasonable pauses between each phrase (although I would definitely not reccomend this, concertos really need the harmony line to "work")

if you tell me what piece specifically you are looking to submit i may be able to help you more
