Arts Supplement

FOR MY FELLOW MUSICIANS I am interested in sending in a cd recording of myself playing a violin solo to several schools. But, I just don't know how to record myself playing onto a cd and make several copies. Can I use iTunes, should I get a mic, or a digital voice recorder so I can put stuff on my comp and burn cds... I to head to Staples tonight. What is the easiest and fastest way to do it?! I have two days. HELP ME PLEASE?! I WILL BE ETERNALLY IN YOUR DEBT! Seriously, though, I would really appreciate your advice. :/ :)

my D recorded her music supplement earlier this week (violin, one piece solo and one w/piano). They used a DAT recorder (?) and then put it on the computer and burned CDs. Sound quality was great (enhanced by recording in a church sanctuary with great acoustics), and process was pretty simple and quick. Good luck.

What is a DAT recorder?

Thanks orchestramom. What is a DAT recorder? I can't find anything about it? Any other suggestions?

My ? was to indicate that I really don't know much about this technology, just that it was the term used. Here is a link to a definition. Digital Audio Tape - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You might want to repost your question in the music majors forum -- there are a/v techies over there! :)

Oooh. Great idea. Thanks again! :)
