Thank you. I’ll visit Williams. I wouldn’t have thought Williams fits what I am looking for. I’ll keep Smith in mind. I would prefer coed. Tufts is opening up a can of worms! My new list

Yes, Grinnell has art programs. Amazing college. Incredible endowment, great buildings, no TA’s, small class sizes. Very intellectual. Offers great merit aid. Beautiful campus. Non-cliquish environment. Check it out.

just to add…oberlin is super quiettttttt & super boooooorrring. added letters for added emphasis. i heard it was serene, but i would have gone crazy there. i suggest u visit it. after i did, i crossed it right off my list -_-

In its 2009 edition of The Best 361 Colleges, the Princeton Review awarded Holy Cross a 98/99 academic rating. Only 5 colleges or universities were awarded a higher academic rating.

If you’re a girl, I’d say Barnard. Some of my best friends go there and recommend it highly. It’s got a great creative writing department which produced the likes of Jhumpa Lahiri. Also, being in NYC and having the Columbia affiliation means you can take music classes not just at Barnard. Barnard allows you the best of both worlds (free access to classes and resources of a large research university across the street while being in an amazing Liberal Arts College).

SUNY New Paltz is super artsy. It’s a really cool town, and I think a lot of it’s just more laid back and chill than politically active, although its definitely a liberal area. A lot of hippie/indie culture there. It’s also academically a really strong school and has a lot of different options to choose from in terms of majors.
Definitely look at Bard- its awesome, too and actually not far from New Paltz or Vassar (also a great one).
