Hey guys, I transferred to UCLA with 91 units. After this quarter I will have 103 units. I was wondering if I am allowed to take a lower division class just for the units? I am a history major and only need 10 upper division history courses to graduate (meaning 40 units) and that leaves me with about 37 units for electives and whatnot. So am I allowed to take lower division classes? Thanks in advanced for replies

You can take lower division classes just for their units, but be aware that you’re going to need 60 upper division units to graduate. So at least 20 of those 37 elective units should be selected from upper division courses from departments of your choosing.

thank you so much for your reply. you are so helpful :)
