I am also chinese, I will add, but not in the hopes that this fact will get me anywhere... hah.

Would really appreciate an honest review. P&T!

Safety.

All that needs to be said.

Wait, does that mean that this is my "safety school", or does that mean I should apply to more of a "safety school" than Mich?

No he said safety because he farted...

in all seriousness you look like a safe match, but maybe you should consider only sending your act score...

Well, by comparing your school stats and your standardized test scores, it seems to me that you attend a HS that is not competitive. Extracurrics and test scores are all right, so mich looks like a high match for you.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Actually, I would say that my HS is pretty competitive; it's a public school, but I would say that the curriculum is as challenging as a private school.

I see what you mean though, amb3r... my test scores are notably lower than the rest of my school stats. It's just that I don't test well, and moreover, I didn't get a chance to prepare well for my standardized tests. Perhaps I should just sent my ACT score and not my SAT's as you said, dkschrute.

I am re-taking the SAT for the 2nd time this weekend and am (hopefully) expecting a slightly higher score.

What would you say would be a good score range for U of Mich?

A valedictorian with an above average ACT for UM, that means you are in at UM unless something freaky happens. UM proclaims how much they care about EC's and essays and all that, but by mass, it is largely numbers. And your numbers are very good.

UM is a school which you should expect acceptance to.
