AS in Information Technology?

Is it any good to get one?

If you plan on getting a 4-year degree in Computer Science, then the short answer is NO.

Why?

Most universities will take as transfer just 3 CS courses: The first two programming courses (usually C++ or Java) and Discerete Math/Structures. Any CS courses after that, the university will want the course taken at the university level.

@GLOBALTRAVELER, thanks for your answer. At the moment I’m planning on taking an university transfer degree along with the AAS in IT. I do not plan on doing the traditional 4 year school (I want to finish online, at a real school, not university of Phoenix or whatever else) since I plan on joining up in the USMC-R and starting my own business/working.
