Maybe not, but unless things have changed in the last 15-20 odd years, SUNY Buffalo with the exception of some specialty programs* is considerably easier to gain admission to overall than Stonybrook.

But that does not mean that it is a safety for OP. Check the articulation agreements for your CC and UB as you may only be eligible for certain programs as part of their articulation agreements
