<p>dude, being asian does not hurt you as much as you think. If you didn't get in, it wasn't because you are asian. it might be because you were like many other people, but not because you are asian. "uber selective category"?</p>
<p>Being Asian isn't a disadvantage; rather, it's simply not a boost. It's just like being Caucasian because both races are well represented in the student body.</p>

<p>yes, it is a disadvantage. Asian is over represented at mit, as is male. Because of over representation, it is harder to get in.</p>
<p>I'm saying that it is no harder to get in as an Asian than it is to get in as a caucasian. </p>
