When top colleges(ivies, mit, caltech, whatev.) see Asian checked off, do they judge all Asians the same?
In other words, is there a difference between chinese american or indian american in the eyes of admission officers?
When people say asians are over represented, are they referring to one group or all asian americans??
Also, in regards to admissions, is it better to be chinese/korean/japanese american rather than Indian or south asian american??

Indians and East Asians are both well represented at the top colleges. Maybe if you were a Burmese refugee or something you’d have a better case.
