Asian Studies vs. China and East Pacific Studies

Can anyone elaborate a little bit more on the difference between the Asian Studies major and the China and Asia Pacific Studies major? I've read all the stuff on the Cornell website, and I'm still a little bit confused. I believe the latter has more emphasise on China, Sino-American relations, and study-abroads, but aren't all of these pursuable from within the Asian Studies major? Also, does the China and Asia Pacific Studies major fall within the Department of Asian Studies?

Thanks for to anyone who can help!

No, CAPS is a completely separate program and does not fall under Asian Studies. CAPS is extremely focused on China whereas Asian Studies is more all-encompassing in terms of Asian countries (if you want it to be).
