At most well-known schools Asians would be considered over represented however, I've noticed that liberal arts colleges tend to have small Asian populations.
At these schools would being Asian actually be an advantage in the admissions process?

Yes, it is considered an advantage. At the higher level of LACs (Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, Bowdoin, Wellesley, Middlebury) the percentage of Asian students is pretty high (10-12 %) which isn’t too far behind that at other top schools. So it is still very hard to get into, but it would probably be even harder at other top schools.

At the lower levels, where the percentage of students that are Asian is much lower, probably because Asians are so focused on prestige and universities, it is probably a REAL hook.

I had this exact question. Thank you!
