Asians at Notre Dame?

Hi guys,

I’m looking into colleges as I am currently in my junior year, and I was wondering what Notre Dame would like for me.
I’m Asian, and I am Methodist (I grew up Presbyterian). I’m not one of those “anti-social” Asians, I fit in pretty well with whites and others (I live in Minnesota), but I was wondering if there is racism towards Asians at Notre Dame, and if my being Methodist would be an issue there, as I have heard that it is mostly catholic.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I don’t attend Notre Dame but I’ve been on campus many times for camps, etc. I personally don’t think there’s any issue. Manti Te’o (a Mormon Pacific Islander football player) almost had a cult like following there, so I don’t think you’ll feel targeted or anything.

I’m a student at Saint Mary’s, which is right across the street from Notre Dame and has close ties there. I wouldn’t say Asians are treated any differently, and I have met a fair few at ND!
