I am a recent Cornell graduate (December '15). I have a lot of free time on my hands, as I was supposed to graduate in May 2016 and do not start working at my full-time job until August 2016.
A little bit about me: I attended a specialized public HS in NYC, taking a pretty rigorous AP course load in the humanities. I applied to a range of CUNY, SUNY, liberal arts, big 10, and Ivy League schools. At Cornell, I double-majored in Communication and Applied Economics & Management in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
During my time there I was a Cornell Ambassador (the students who speak at info sessions and run Cornell Days), was on the Business team for the Cornell Daily Sun, worked an on-campus job, was involved in Greek life, and held a couple of Teaching Assistant positions. I held internships at a telecommunications company and a financial services company, and my full time job will be in consulting at a large firm.
WHAT I CAN TALK ABOUT: General application process, Student life/Clubs, Greek Life, Housing, Ithaca, Cornell Days, Communication/AEM, CALS distribution requirements, Internships
WHAT I DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT: STEM/Pre-Med majors and activities, Non-Social Science Research, Transitioning from small/private schools, Moving far from home
I will do my best to answer your questions! Feel free to also PM me if you do not want to post on the thread.
