<p>I was wondering what kind of jobs or career path would a sociology major lead to? Are ther opportunities to major in Business? Is it possible to major in Sociology and Minor in Accounting at UCLA?</p>

I have received 3 W’s &4 D’s (Retook all of them and got A’s). A high upward trend from first semester until now.
Completed IGETC & PRE-REQS for all schools that I applied for.</p>
<p>EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
–Volunteer @ Hospital (2 years)
–Outdoor Education Camp (2 years)
–Community Service @ Church (4+ years)
–Clothing store (2 years), and have worked for restaurants and other places as well…started working at the age of fifteen. Also, I currently baby-sit a family of 2 kids.

–Psi Beta Psychology
–Scholarship from college
–Student Government (Senator) (1 year)
–Tennis Team for college (1 year)
–Secretary for club on campus (1 year)
–Psychology Club (3 years)
–Traditional Cultural Dancing (5-6+ years)</p>
<p>Essays were straight to the point and very personal. Not sure what I would rate them…</p>
<p>What are my chances in getting into Berkeley as a SOC. major?? </p>

I read online that last year average acceptance rate was 3.8.</p>
<p>Love this thread already since I’m a Sociology major! I’m applying to UCSD too…but I can’t believe they waitlisted you. You have a fantastic GPA.</p>
<p>Mine isn’t as fantastic as yours though. It’s at a 3.34. </p>

<p>@rca2446: Do you have the link? The Berkeley advisor came to our college and she said that with a 3.7 I can get into the major at Berk. I think we have a 65% chance. Hopefully…</p>

<p>@UCLAProspect: I applied to UCB (Soc.) & UCLA (Psych). I hope it’s enough. I know that it’s less impacted than Psychology…you have a good chance. I gave up on UCLA (Psych). I hope I can get into UCB. We will see! I hope we get in! :]</p>
