I asked someone on the official Union facebook page, and they said that they mail the regular decision letters on March 22nd, and you can see it online March 23rd

I can’t to get admission to Union. I am freaking out. Who else is in my shoes. I am international student.

LIM is a great program if you know you want to go to Medical School right after college. In addition to getting your MBA, you get automatic admission to Albany Medical College without needing to take the MCATs–you do, however, need to maintain a certain GPA throughout your time at Union. As an undergraduate student you double major, so you get an all-around education, MBA, and entrance to Med School

are there any formal or semiformal events as a freshman i should be prepared for at union?(clothing-wise)

I know frats/sororities would hold events and there’d be things like job interviews, but that wouldn’t happen as a frshman.

Hi dliggy,
There are usually a few formal dances and I would definitely recommend packing a blazer or suit and a few ties. It never hurts to be prepared!

The word that is continually being used when talking about Union and that I am beginning to associate with it is “preppy.” TO those of you who have used it, how do you mean it? Someone who is rich and flaunts it, or just someone who wears polo?

Union has a lot of kids coming from prep schools. Basically when the student body is described as “preppy” they are referring to khakis, sperrys, polos etc. It’s not a bad thing but rather a way people dress. Definitely not referring to people flaunting money around.

Does Union College suggest any financial aid for international students?

Hi Jonjojonjo,
Sorry, I don’t quite understand your question. Would you like to know if Union offers financial aid for international students? If so, then yes, we do offer merit scholarships and need-based grants to our international students. The average Union international grant is $24,764 and we offered financial aid awards ranging from $6,000-$52,550. I hope this helps.

Question - how is the social scene? I see that most kids there are preppy and what not, but is it overwhelmingly so? Can you stand out… be different? Also, what do you do on the weekends? Is it always crazy partying, alcohol-driven fun or do people tone it down ever to just have sober fun? I don’t want to go to a school that is all about one-night hookups and never remembering what you did last night… I’m trying to meet interesting people with good personalities, not just attractive people I can use as a quick fix. What are your thoughts?

How much importance is given to SAT score for admission, especially for international students?

what are some special qualities that union college has than other colleges?
i’m applying to their computer engineering, and want to know more about the campus and also the engineering major. are there some really good programs that help students to master the engineering major?

thanks!
