<p>@nano442a The engineer tries to do every little thing to let people know he works on a steamboat. While reading, youhave to pick up that every little detail is made to create a certain image. If he was trying to be sophisticated he wouldn’t turn up greasy or wear a belt without suspenders. I think this question was more about context. I guess it just takes practice.</p>
