So…I have just been rejected by my most favorite college. Should I send them an email and request for re-consideration? Has anyone done that before?
Cuz they said that they simply couldnt accept all international students with low EFC. Through their letter, I believe money is mainly the reason why I was rejected. I wish they can review my application again and maybe give me another chance…
I’m sorry you were rejected. But if you can’t afford to pay and they can’t afford to award you scholarships, what good will a reevaluation do? Have your circumstances changed?
Appeals generally only are useful if they reviewed incorrect information (such as they read a wrong transcript). Otherwise, decisions are final. As a you can imagine, to allow otherwise would be a nightmare as everyone would appeal. I’m sorry but you need to accept this decision and move on.
@IAMSAD:
Union College, like all of them, will not likely revisit their decision.
Sure, you can send an appeal letter if you believe there was a mistake in your application. Do understand your time and energy is better spent focusing on your “Plan B” schools.
I would focus your energies on schools you have been accepted into.
