Ask me anything about BEAR facts!

Okay Thank you very much for your help! :)

Also, since you have orientation at august you will probably have the worst class times like in 730 in the morning or at 500 in the afternoon

Am I the only one who prefer later classes like 6 7 at night?

as a first year, i loved night classes… only if it was the ONLY class i had that day though.

when you don’t live in the dorms anymore, it’s sort of a different story… or at least for me it is.

On the orientation website, it tells me that I should bring an unofficial transcript to show to the counselor when I register for classes. Do I really need that? Did you have to use your unofficial transcript? And do you suggest to bring anything else to orientation other than what the orientation site is suggesting to bring?

what if i’m driving myself there, where can i park?
do i have to buy a parking pass…?

you dont have to buy a parking pass and you can park in the parking lot : )
just try to go to ucr and then you’ll see arrows pointing towards the parking lot. just follow the arrows and then you’ll see the parking lot

Ohh. “the parkinglot” as in Parkinglot 1?

Okay so if you line up for the learning center, do you have everything you need, including breadth classes?

no, just the classes for your major. Like for engineering its like calculus, the intro to whatever class, and maybe chem or something. you have to sign up for your own English and breadth classes.

So from what I got from the preorientation stuff was that we should have a list thing with a general idea of what classes we want to take along with the course numbers and stuff and bring it to orientation, but I just got off the phone with student affairs and they said that we don’t need to have any of that prepared and that they would tell us what to take…

So can someone who already went to orientation tell me what I should do? My orientation’s tomorrow D:

you got like 1 or 2 of your classes guaranteed and chosen for you by the learning community. During orientation on the 2nd day, you get like 2 hours to sit down before registration and go through the course list to hunt down your remaining english and breadth classes. So you can just relax now.

Alright, thanks a lot!!!

My flight will arrive Ontario Airport at 11. Is it too late? Should I change my flight?

^
it takes 15 to 20 mins

UCR sent me a card thing telling me some of the things I need to bring to orientation. The first thing it says is that I need a photo, what is it for and do I really need this?

Do you mean a photo ID?

Oh I’m not sure haha. All it says is photo. Did you already go to orientation?

Yea, I didn’t need a photo. I can’t remember if I had a photo ID though.
Just bring the confirmation info and you should be fine.

confirmation info? what confirmation info? :o
