It is possible to have wireless in your dorm, yes. I have never heard of the “Student Nittany Lion Club” though.

Here’s some info though: [Penn State University Official Athletic Site - Nittany Lion Club](http://www.gopsusports.com/sports/c-lionclub/spec-rel/102507aba.html)

Duke, is Penn State still infested with hot girls like it was when I was there? Do you still head off campus on Thursday and Friday nights and party like it’s 1999? And then, do you sober up enough by Saturday afternoon to walk to Beaver Stadium and bring down the house? Finally, have you ever been so drunk that you couldn’t remember which dorm room was yours after spending all night off-campus? Keep the dream alive man…

Not sure if serious/sober, but:
-Oh my gosh yes.
-Yes
-Most of us
-Not yet

Happened to me in West Halls, beginning of my Junior year… Here’s a little gem of advice that you won’t get just anywhere - you know those little nametags they put on your door at the beginning of the semester? Keep it up until at least a good 6 weeks in.

Such sage advice. We are indebted to you.

You can’t see me, but I’m bowing to you through my computer

Are out of state students more likely to get a roommate from out of state or from Pennsylvania?

As far as I know, it’s 100% random regardless of origin

How math intensive is the B.A. in economics?

How many credits do freshmen usually take during their first semester?

I’m not sure how much math is involved in upper-level Econ, but here are the classes you’d most likely take: http://laus.la.psu.edu/current-students/advising/recommended-academic-plans/pdf/ECLBA10.pdf

And most freshmen take anywhere from 15-18 credits first semester

I wont get to campus until 8/17 If I ship a package will they hold it for me until I arrive?

Yes, they will. We did this with shipments from Kohl’s, Target, amazon.com (great source for books once you get the ISBN) and stuff from home. I would suggest that you keep an inventory of the packages that you will be sending if there are several. Then once you get there, you can check them off the pick up list to be sure that nothing got lost.

is there an online list of classes that penn state offers?

Yes:

[University Bulletin: University Course Descriptions](http://bulletins.psu.edu/bulletins/bluebook/university_course_descriptions.cfm)

Bear in mind that this is an overall list, and courses are added and dropped each semester, so to be really up to date you should look one semester at a time:

[Penn State University - Office of the University Registrar - Schedule of Courses: Course Search](http://schedule.psu.edu/)

Perfect thanks!

whats CMPEH compared to CMPEN?
[University Bulletin: University Course Descriptions](http://bulletins.psu.edu/bulletins/bluebook/university_course_descriptions.cfm?letter=C&dept=CMPEN)

Also this is more of a genreal college question but when picking classes are able to take other classes just because you want to. So besides required/major classes.

CMPEH is CMPEN at a branch campus - they often do that when they offer identical programs at different locations. CMPEN is University Park, CMPEH is Harrisburg.

When picking classes you can pick anything you want that (a) you can actually get into and that (b) is not program restricted. Some classes are very popular and might not be available to you until later in your academic career (like some of the gym/EXSCI classes), and many classes are restricted to people in particular majors, as they are apparently so popular that allowing anyone in can prevent those majors from graduating on time. But other than that it is up to you - if it interferes with fulfilling your major requirements that is for you to resolve, no one elses. So take whatever you want, just remember to try and stay on schedule.

One last caveat - if you want to exceed 19 credits (common for those who want to take extra classes but still graduate on time) you will need your advisor’s approval, and they may not grant it for frivilous classes unless you are performing well above average.

I am looking at getting tix for a football game. Section EC row O or sec EC row 30. Which would be a better view Row O is closer but I was wondering if the field would be blocked from my view by players or others on the field.

With all the talk about the best dorms, do you actually get to choose? My mom (an alum, but from a while ago) said that’s not possible. So do you ever get to choose?
