Ask Me Questions! Nova Vsb Student

Hi, I am a student in the Villanova School of Business. I will field all questions.

This is exactly what I've been looking for. Villanova's my first choice. I'm thinking about business(not positive about it) but applied to the business school. I know it's really competative(congrats! lol) I just applied early action so now I'm worried about my chances I was wondering if you could share a little about yourself gpa and sat scores would be great and just tell me about a little bit about Villanova, the pros and cons, anything at all would be great! Thanks!

I also heard about a business minor that is offered thru a Summer program that a lot of liberal arts kids do.

Any info/opinion of that???

Thanks

From what I have heard SBI is a great program. Its 9-weeks long and it gives the students and overall understanding in each business field. Basically, it is a business minor program for non business students. The faculty that teach in SBI are the best of the best. My favorite professors teach in the program. You will get to know the students in the program very well and you will make personal relationships with the professors. The professors are always talking about this program and are passionate about it. The class sizes are also very small, which helps a lot. I hope this helps, any more questions? Ask!!

What were your stats?

What, if any, financial aid did you get (loans, scholies, grants, etc.)?

Thanks for your invitation to questions. Let me advise my son's basic stats and let me know how he might fare in admisions.

He attends a Phila area Catholic HS (McDevitt). 20th in a class of 190 (would be 15th or so except for a mediocre 9th grade).
- 4.0 average.
- Mostly honors and AP courses.
- SAT 570 M/700V/740WR = 1270/2010
- 5/5 on AP History
- SOlid ECs, varsity cross country, 6 years in Young Marines, and is ranking kid in the group, school movie studio, etc. Usual clubs.

He is interested in Villanova due to Navy ROTC, and he has applied for a Marine scholarship and I think he has a decent shot at it.

I see on the web site that the bottom of the middle 50% is 1280 (I believe). SO he's just below that. He's our first kid to college so very hard to know how these stats work themselves out.

Based on your experience in talking to kids who got in, pls provide some "color". Thanks
