<p>so i am a current college freshman. the best dorm IN TERMS OF LOCATION is actually hill if you are in the college. but the best dorm IN TERMS OF EVERYTHING ELSE is fisher-hassenfeld. if you are in the college at least. hill's oonly claim to fame would definitely be its location. other than that DO the quad (esp. fisher)</p>

<p>Kiwi-you can declare a major up until the day before graduation (at least in Wharton don't know about the college). As I said, I'm a junior and just declared my majors two weeks ago.</p>
<p>Paro-I would say the Quad has the best overall experience for Freshman (Reipe, Ware, and Fisher are all fine). Best combo of nice rooms, location, social experience, etc. The only advantage to Hill is that you know that you will be with other Freshman. I thought I lucked out when I got into the quad, but ended up with a hall of mostly upperclassmen. Not the best, but I would still reccomend the quad.</p>
<p>Place-For food, Hill is the best because there is a dining hall in the building. But the food is awful in all the dining halls, so it doesn't really matter (you'll end up wanting to make Easy Mac instead). For comfort the high rises are the best because they are essentially apartments (you can get a suite with a bedroom, living room, and kitchen). I would really reccomend not living there as a Freshman, however they are trying to make it more freshman friendly (all freshman floors).</p>
<p>Hill and Quad have shared bathrooms (some are even co-ed). They are basically one for every 2-2.5 halls. All the high rise rooms have a bathroom in the suite. </p>
<p>There is no such thing as a big dorm room, but some are definitely bigger than others. My room in harrison is bigger than my single in Reipe (think 9x13). </p>
<p>Paro-Hill is nice if you take a lot of science/math classes because most of them will be in David Rittenhouse Labs (DRL), the chem building, etc. which are around that 34th street area. I would say in general all the quad rooms are the same within the various types (single vs. double), however you will find some oddities like ones with sinks, larger than others. I had a friend in Fisher who's double was huge compared to my friend's in Ware.</p>
<p>Yankees-A single is really hard to get. I lucked out getting one. I'd say about 60% of the class gets the housing they want.</p>
