I just wanted to say to all the future Class of 2019…CONGRATULATIONS! I can undoubtedly tell you all that this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made my entire life. I only come to love Tulane more and more as the days go on.
Please feel free to shoot me any questions that you might have!
@fallenchemist Would you happen to have any insight as to when Tulane will be releasing decisions for Fall 2015 transfers? The early application deadline with all supporting docs was FEB. 1st. I know Tulane does sometimes tend to release decisions sporadically. They give a date of March 15th as the latest notification date. Wanted to see if you had any insight with regards to this.
@texasteen–I will definitely have my son check out Wall when he’s on campus next month. And thanks to all of the current students who are participating on this thread (along with parents and alums). It’s really helpful to get an insider’s perspective.
@UGAdawg is no doubt correct in that advice, but I will add that New Orleans is completely flat and so an easy place to ride. They have added quite a few bike lanes since Katrina in 2005, including on St. Charles which is the main street fronting the university.
We have questions for current or past “pre-meds”. If D wants to study abroad or possibly be a Creative PreMed Scholar, she needs to take EBIO and CHEM first semester. Even though she excelled in AP Bio and AP Chem, this seems a little risky. I’ve read so many other posts on CC that first semester can be chaotic with all the adjustments and freedom. She is extremely disciplined but also excited about the social life. Would love to hear some advice before she picks her schedule next weekend @ TSW. Also, we will be in NOLA for a few days beyond TSW, should she try to sit down with anyone else while we’re there? Pre-med advising or possibly the pre-med club? Thank-you!
I have a question for any biomedical engineering students at Tulane. I’m very interested in BME but I would love to take advantage of Tulane’s excellent economics courses as well. Could any BME students tell me how heavy the workload is? Would I have time to add in some econ classes or is that too difficult on top of an engineering major? Thanks!
