Hey Justin, I’ve been reading your posts for a while now… but haven’t posted any
questions that I have for myself. As someone who will be attending Lafayette starting
this fall, I have tons of questions. I hope that these questions weren’t repeated in
previous pages, as I could not read all of them. One of my question is when will the sign-
up for Residence Halls begin? I looked all over at the college website, but could not find
paperworks of any sort. Maybe I missed it… I’m not too sure. Am I too late…? If I’m not,
could you tell me around when the registering will begin, and how will I complete it
(through internet, mail, etc). Thanks!

lollsw,

You will be asked to complete an online housing preference questionnaire in mid-May. For more information, see: [Residence Life](http://ww2.lafayette.edu/~reslife/Enrolled%20Students.php).

lollsw,

I found out more information on housing. It turns out the questionnaire will be made available on the Class of 2013 website ([Lafayette College - Class of 2013](http://lafayette.edu/student_life/classes/2013.html)) May 22nd through June 9th. You’ll be receiving a unique user ID and password to sign in and complete the survey very soon via snail mail.

Here’s a direct link to the survey. It’s not “up and running” yet, but May 22nd is just around the corner: https://opinio.lafayette.edu/opinio/s?s=1421.

Hey candyman - thanks for all your answers and support on this site!

I know you have said in previous threads you thought maybe Lafayette would go to the waitlist this year, but nothing has really been posted confirming that. Have you heard any updates? If they do have a full class for 2013, they will send a letter, but meanwhile with housing forms requests, etc… and all that, it makes me feel like it is a done deal and I should move on. Any thoughts?

Qtflt,

They certainly did go to the waitlist this year, but at this point, I doubt they’re still at it. Most waitlist candidates offered a spot are notified soon after the May 1 deadline.

You could call Admissions to ask what’s up at 610-330-5100. If the class is full, they’ll let you know.

I am a Lafayette parent. My daughter will be a senior next year and I just want to let you know that your discussions on this board helped us as she chose to attend Lafayette three years ago and you answered some specific questions we had before freshmen arrival.

I know you are a senior. So let me say thank you for providing advice during your Laf years. Enjoy senior week and graduation and good luck in your future endeavors.

Before posting a reply in this thread, please read the thread “Signing Off…”

All the best,

Hi Justin,
I had a few questions about Lafayette I was hoping you could answer.
I’ve visited Lafayette already and really liked it. I think it might be a good fit for me. The only thing is, I’ve looked up student reviews of Lafayette and they seem only okay. Honestly, are the students at Lafayette happy? Do they really like the college?

Also, I attend a high school of about 3,000 students but I don’t like being lost in the crowd. I’ve enjoyed my high school but I think I want more of a community feel. Does Lafayette ever get too small?

I really like Lafayette but I want to know what bad things to expect also. What things do students usually complain about at Lafayette?

Thanks so much in advance!

I’m new at this so I don’t know if I posted that correctly. Sorry!

justin has left… read #167

oops. Sorry I’m not good at this. That sucks =(

I am closing this thread as Candyman92486/Justin is now a Lafayette alumnus and will no longer be monitoring this forum.

We all, I am sure, are grateful for all the assistance he has provided to families with an interest in Lafayette, and wish him the very best for the future!

Please post any additional questions regarding Lafayette as new threads, and hopefully someone will respond.
