Asking a Teacher to Round up a Final Grade...1 Year Later?

Hello all....so sophomore year I received an 89 in Chemistry Honors (my final grade was an 89.3 to be exact). I planned on taking AP Chem the following year with the same teacher and did not want to bring up the subject of rounding my grade if I needed the teacher to round up again in my junior year AP Chem course (junior year > sophomore year).

However, I transferred out of that school sophomore year and now attend a new high school. The difference in honors GPA points from a B+ to an A- is stark; a B+ is worth 4.3 while an A- is worth 4.7. My sophomore year GPA is currently a 4.1 but if this teacher rounded up my GPA would become a 4.28. What should I do and how should I address this issue? I am going to e-mail her and ask her if she would round up, because the worst thing she could say is "no" and I would never have to see her again, since I no longer attend the school. What is the best way to address this?

thanks!

^bump? 10char

Send her a nice email explaining the situation. I highly doubt it works, but like you said, worst case, she says no.

Just send her an email. My friend tried to do the same thing last year and the teacher didn’t oblige, but you never know. And worse comes to worse, will that .1 difference in your GPA really matter all that much?
