Asking For A Friend: What Is The Generally Accepted Prediction For Ivy League Decision Date?

Hey guys,

My best friend’s son is waiting. They pay no attention to CC:). I see March 31 suggested - these things used to happen Fridays which would mean the 27th. Do you all have a consensus on the actual date? Thank you in advance. Best luck and and happy outcomes to all of you in the hunt.

It’s not even predicted now. Both Cornell and Princeton have sent out notes telling applicants to check their portals at 5:00 PM on March 31st. I assume the rest of the cartel will follow suit.

As noted above; it’s not a prediction. 3/31/2015 5:00 PM EDT

Thanks guys!

@someoldguy “I assume the rest of the cartel will follow suit.”

lol. That is both funny, and pretty accurate.

Back in the day, i.e. last decade, Columbia and Harvard came in before Princeton which came in before Stanford.

On a somewhat related note, schools just outside of the Ivy-plus schools, tend to go about a week prior: both a yield manipulation and the hope to peel off some of the admissions that are coming from the Ivy schools.

@boolaHI which schools do you mean by ivy plus? Stanford?

I was just looking at the thread on admissions decisions dates - sorry, should have searched for that first - and I see what looks like trails of admissions strategies, but, I have no data to confirm the reality of the potential patterns. One could speculate an entire treatise, and have random chances of getting it right;).
