Asking For Advice

hey how hard is pre-med and med-school? I mean a few friends of mine are in med-school and study approx. 6-7 hours a day.

im new to the pre-med track but i wouldnt say its difficult just that it requires more effort. if your willing to sacrifice partying on weeknights and occasional weekends its fine. if youd rather have a lot of free time then its not really for you. but as far as course difficulty it isnt too bad

I've personally seen my friends drop out one by one from premed. It requires dedication and sacrifice.

oh ok I was just wondering. If I have a 27 MCAT score and 3.8 - 3.9 and pretty good extra curricular activities, can I get into a average medical school?

I think those stats seem pretty good for your state school at least.

I'd aim for a 30 MCAT just to be safe!

its hard...only people that have the balls actually end up going through with the whole medical school track...wimps like me actually don't make up their minds about whether they should persue business or medicine..>_>

Oh so if I study 5 hours a day after school in med. school, i should be fine?
