I also have siblings who work and parents who work. As for not knowing anyone from Michigan, that’s your problem. Lots of them at CH2M HILL, Amey, not to mention major consultancies.

I appreciate your opinions because it is refreshing to know that people do well who didn’t get into highly ranked universities.

@GMTplus7 Not all engineers go to engineering companies. Most of Harvard’s wind up in Silicon Valley or in consulting. A significant number of Michigan’s engineering graduates wind up at business school (roughly half according to their placement reports).
