Asking for teacher recs to early?

So on Tuesday I went around and asked all the teachers I wanted for recommendation and asked my counselor for school report/recommendation. When I asked I had not sent the invitation from common app yet. However, that afternoon (in fact almost right after school) I sent out all the invitations. Here it is now going on Friday and they still have not accepted leading me to ask two questions.

Should I talk to the teachers, or am I over reacting? How long should I wait before they accept my invite?

I gave them a deadline of November 15 was that to far away? Like I don't want them to forget about me, but I didn't want to be pushy and ask for it really soon.

Any advice will help. Thank you.

When is your first application actually due? Or are you applying somewhere with rolling admisions?

If you gave then Nov 15, then you are WAY jumping the gun if they have not responded in just three days. They may not accept until they are ready to actually put in the information… I would maybe check in with them around the third week of October and see if they need any additional info from you to complete them.

What did they say when you asked them on Tue? If they said they would be happy to write you a LOR, then be patient, they’ll log in when they get a chance. They may be waiting to accept a group of invitations at once rather than do it one by one.

Under normal circumstances, I consider a month the minimum amount of time to give a LOR writer. Letters take time to write and people have other obligations and responsibilities.

Rather than assign your own deadline, I’d give them the school deadline and you can check back with them a couple of weeks before the date if they haven’t submitted the LOR yet. I understand you’re anxious, but they’re busy and I can’t see putting unnecessary limitations on their writing you a good LOR, just my POV.
