academics: Very decent. Not as hard as I thought, very manageable if you don't party 24/7!

work load: Not tooooo bad but during finals/midterms is horribly daunting. But it's like that anywhere! It also depends on the class. Much more time to do things compared to high school.

food: Ugh.

dorms: Very nice-Monroe. Others are eh, typical.

boys/girls: Very attractive student body

On campus parties/house parties: INSANE. you won't be bored.

club scene/night life: Perfect. haha.

greek life: Quite thriving. And not in danger of dying out anytime soon.

sports: Medium importance. Not like a state school. Football team, green wave, I think and a baseball team and rugby team.

students in general: Hard to generalize. Most students drink a lot. a LOT. But you get used to it after awhile! A lot of students are also somewhat shallow, but...that's everywhere. I think. You can find a lot of individual, nond rinking, non druggy people, but it's definitely a challenge haha.

professors in general: VERY VERY excellent! A few bad ones, but very good at teaching.

campus: Gorgeous.

favorite thing about Tulane?
New Orleans. Simply put, it is such a unique, beautttttiful city! If you're having a bad day, just walk across the street to Audubon Park and walk till you drop. haha.

what's the university's biggest downfall?
Expensiveness and partying. INSANITY. But once you get past those few downfalls it's alright.

what's the stereotypical Tulane student like?
Sex, drugs, drinking. I'm not kidding either! People make bunnies look weak the way they hook up it's MADNESS! It's actually kind of funny. Some shallow people, just look for the cool people and you'll be fine :). It's like most colleges. Parties everyday, or 6/7 days, loves kegs. Haha.

overall, are you happy you chose to attend?
No. I am transferring. There are many pros and many cons. Haha. I transferred to Loyola which is RIGHT next door, so I loved the city, but not the school environment. It's nott for everyone seriously. But, mostp eople love it there! i feel like you will too.

Good luck and enjoy! and take all this with a grain of salt (besides the new orleans being an amazing city! everybody loves it!)
It's hard to judge whether or not someone will like a college but for me I also got homesick halfway through the first semester so that put a damper on my fun.
