Asking teachers for letters of rec

If I plan on being a science major, would it be a bad impression to colleges if I ask teachers who DON"T teach science/math classes for letters of rec?

I'm not exactly close to my math teacher or science teachers. My English teacher knows me pretty well though. But I suppose that if the teacher I choose to write my letter greatly affects my chances of getting into certain colleges, I could try to ask my math/science teachers for letters......

What do you guys think?

Most colleges admit you to the school as a whole rather than a specific major, so it won’t matter where the recommendations come from. For the ones that don’t, though, it will look weird if you apply to a science program and don’t get any recommendations from science teachers.

I applied to and was accepted to the school of Communications, specifically Communication Studies / Human Relations.

My rec letters came from my Digital Media teacher and my Gov/Eco teacher.

I’d recommend getting one from your English and one from your Science teacher.
