<p>I've invited her and a friend to a hockey game next Tues. During the game, I'm gonna have a bunch of my friends who sit below us take their shirts off and they will have 'PROM?' spelled out on their chests.</p>

^He’s right. If she turns you down it is going to be so embarrassing. She may already have a date/be going with friends/not be going at all/hate your guts. Are you really sure you want to risk it?
OTOH, I’m clueless when it comes to girls, so yeah, you’re probably better off doing the opposite of what I advise.</p>
<p>She goes to a different school. They have a different day for prom. No one has asked her to my prom, I’m sure of that. </p>
<p>She knows like two other people at my school, one of which is my friend. The embarrassment would be somewhat limited. </p>
