Asking too many questions?

Hi, I'm a rising senior and I think I have a problem. Last year, I would frequently go to my guidance counselor's office to talk about my classes I should take my senior to better my chances to get into a good school. I completely understand that guidance counselors' main priority is to get as many students to graduate, instead of worrying about one particular student's situation and for that I kind of feel guilty, so I try not to ask questions. But the thing is, my upcoming senior year is going to be a critical time for me and I want to be well-informed about the college process. I also feel like I'm constantly pestering my teachers with too many questions but I'm the type of student that needs extra clarity with my assignments. So what I'm asking is, should I continue to ask questions or should I research for the answers myself?

I'm sorry if this has been a lengthy question (as always), I just really need answers!
Also, is anyone else like this?

Try to not ask things that you can easily figure out yourself. If you truly think you’re preventing other students from being able to talk to your counselor, then you may want to lay off a bit.

The kind of information you’re looking for is all over the Internet, especially on this website. There’s no need to bother the GCs when you could just use Google.
