Asnwers from a recent graduate

bump (trying to procrastinate)

any hotelies here? reading what shizz said about doing grad somewhere else, where would you gusy do grad? or are you guys going straight into work? is it better to take general business management somewhere else, then do grad at cornell hotel school? and does anyone know how hard it is to get into hotel grad? thanks!

shizz, you met any transfers in your years at the engineering school.
If so, where did thet transfer from?

I knew two transfers in my major. One came from SUNY Binghamton, the other from some school in Venezuela.

I knew a girl that transferred into Electrical Engineering from some community college.

shizz, u said something about there not being any "modern physics" in EP. NO MODERN PHYSICS? Could you elaborate on that please?

Here is the syllabus for a typical "Modern Physics" course.

<a href="http://www.crab.rutgers.edu/%7Ecowley/modern/%5B/url%5D">http://www.crab.rutgers.edu/~cowley/modern/</a></p>

Things like radioactivity, nuclear reactions, particle physics aren't covered at all in EP unless you take a graduate level course.

Subjects like quantum mechanics, relativity and blackbody radiation are covered at an in-depth level in Quantum Mechanics and Statistical Thermodynamics, which are required courses in the program.

Thanks for the info. I already sent in my ED app and selected EP as my intended major... seems very interesting.

The EP site says that there are around 25-30 students in every graduating class. Just wondering... how many people apply for EP?
